1. SCOPE AND CONSENT
Dankoli.com, mobile apps (Android, and iOS) and associated services and tools (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Dankoli Services").
2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Account and Profile Information: When you create an account with Dankoli Services, we will require certain information such as a valid email address and password. In addition, you may create a profile that includes information such as your location, first and last name, gender, phone number and associated information, including photos you may wish to upload. In certain circumstances users may contact one another via their profiles. Any information you share in a publicly available profile is your own responsibility. You should carefully consider the risks of making certain personal information, particularly information such as address or precise location information, publicly available. If you create an account using a third-party authentication service such as Facebook Connect, we may also receive additional profile or other information authorized by that provider.
Website and Mobile Data: We may automatically receive and log information on our servers from your browser or device including your IP address, software and hardware attributes, pages that you request, mobile identifiers, information about app usage, and other device or systems level information.
Listings and Transactions: We host classified ads which include information about the seller, uploaded images of the item for sale, a description of the item, the approximate location of the item, as well as a purchase price proposal of the seller. Any information included in the classified ads by you as the seller is your own responsibility. You should carefully consider the risks of making certain personal information, particularly information such as address or precise location information, publicly available.
Advertising and Promotions: We may collect personal information such as your name and contact information when you participate in marketing promotions we sponsor through the Dankoli Services or third-party sites. We may also process information related to the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, including what ads are viewed and clicked either on our network or on third-party sites.
Customer Care: When you contact our customer care department, we may collect the personal information necessary to fulfill your request and contact you for follow up as needed. We may also contact you using existing account contact information you provide to us for this purpose. We may also collect other information about our communications with our users, for example any customer support requests that our customers make or any feedback that our users provide to us.
3. IP ADDRESS, COOKIES AND MOBILE IDENTIFIERS
We may collect certain information through your browser or device including cookies, pixels and local storage. Cookies are small text files that store information on your computer, mobile phone or other device locally. Pixels are small images that are part of codes on webpages that allow another server to measure viewing of a webpage and often are used in connection with cookies. The code tracks if and when (and on which page) a pixel is loaded to indicate that a user has engaged with a specific screen or portion of a screen.
With the help of cookies, the web server can save preferences and settings on the user’s computer, mobile phone or other device which are then automatically restored on the next visit. In other words, the cookies are used, among other things, to make the use of the Dankoli Services more user-friendly so that you do not have to repeat the log in process when you visit again. We use both persistent cookies and session cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your computer for a longer period of time, whereas session cookies are automatically deleted when the window is closed.
4. USE OF THIS INFORMATION
To provide our service we may use the information we collect and host for the following general purposes:
We will retain any personal information that we collect only for as long as is required to fulfill the above business objectives, or as otherwise required by law.
5. INFORMATION SHARING
We may share information we collect with our affiliates (companies under common ownership and control), regardless of where they may be located. These companies may only process and use this information to assist us for purposes described above.
We do not share your personal information with non-affiliated third parties unless we have your specific permission to do so, or in the following circumstances:
We may share certain non-personal information (data that does not identify our users individually) with third-party service providers, trusted partners or approved researchers. This is done to better understand what advertisements or services may be of interest to you to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of our services or their services and to contribute to academic research that we believe is of a broader social benefit.
6. USER CONTROLS
Access, Correction and Deletion: For users that have created an account or listing with us, you can access, correct or delete the information you provided by disconnecting your social media profile, updating the information in the relevant social media platform, and re-connecting. To delete your account, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You are responsible for keeping the data you provide or post on our network accurate. If your account was created through an identity provider (e.g. Facebook Connect), you may also disable or change the account information through the settings offered by the identity provider (e.g. on Facebook.com). Listings information can be modified or deleted in the ‘your listings’ section of the Dankoli.com Services.
Dankoli uses a variety of reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Our affiliates, trusted partners and third-party service providers are also committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with our requirements for security and privacy. Please note, however, that the transmission of data over the internet is not 100% secure and there is a risk that your personal information may be intercepted and improperly used by a third party.
We will notify you if we become aware of any improper use of your account or your personal information where we reasonably believe that the data breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you. We will also notify the applicable authorities as required.
If you become aware of any improper use of your account or your personal information, please contact us at email@example.com
